She holds diplomas from The Academy of<br \/>\nMusic and Performing Arts in Bratislava (MA) and The University of Stavanger (MA ,PDM,<br \/>\nExtension Study in Chamber Music and Piccolo). In 2015 Laura studied as an exchange student<br \/>\nand collaborated with local musicians in Reykjavik (Iceland). She is one of founders and CEOs of<br \/>\nHvalur Festival &#8211; The Festival of Icelandic Music in Bratislava. She\u2019s been a member of several<br \/>\ncontemporary ensembles and alternative music bands ( Veni Academy, Asynchronia Ensemble,<br \/>\nKatar\u00edna M\u00e1likov\u00e1 &amp; Ensemble). Currently she is a freelancer, a substitute flutist in the Stavanger<br \/>\nSymphony Orchestra and a member of Opera Rogaland Sinfonietta. Laura is also a leader, composer and pianist of Ecetera band.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ecetera Band<\/strong> is a music group from Bratislava, currently based in Stavanger. The band was<br \/>\nfounded by sisters Laura Lovi\u0161kov\u00e1 (author of compositions, piano) and Izabela Lovi\u0161kov\u00e1 (vocals,<br \/>\nglockenspiel, electronics). Their original musical compositions represent \u201emusical tales\u201c, which by<br \/>\ntheir expressive and in detail worked-out instrumental, rhythmical, melodic and harmonic contents,<br \/>\ndepict moments of life \u2013 those usual and everyday ones, or those special, personal ones. Music<br \/>\nplayed by Ecetera Band contains various styles (neo-classical , chamber pop or progressive rock)<br \/>\nand it is still looking for the most appropriate way how to express its ideas , in order to reach a<br \/>\nvisual or even cinematographic impression.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Laura Lovi\u0161kov\u00e1 is a Slovak flutist, based in Stavanger.
