Hello! My name is Nenad Mihajlovic, and I am a passionate musician with a rich and diverse musical journey. I began playing the guitar at the age of 14, initially inspired by the rock music of the former Yugoslavia. Growing up in a family of musicians, my father, a singer and accordion player, and my brother, also an accordionist, greatly influenced my musical path.
At 15, I started singing and playing guitar in a choir, performing at numerous concerts across Bosnia, Serbia, Moscow, Vienna, Hannover, Prague, and Bratislava. Alongside my father and brother, I played Balkan folk music at weddings and parties, embracing the vibrant cultural heritage of our region.
In 2013, I pursued my passion for jazz guitar studies in Vienna. After two years, I returned to Bosnia and began performing with Balkan star Maya Berović, touring extensively across Europe and the USA, bringing Balkan music to audiences worldwide.
In 2019, I moved to Norway, continuing my musical journey and sharing my love for music with new audiences. In Norway, I started playing in a project called “Marihøne Airlines,” and we have performed together at various festivals, including the Bergen International Music Festival, Rabalder Festival in Tromsø, and the Bergen International Festival. We also play children’s concerts and gypsy jazz. Additionally, I work as a guitar teacher, sharing my knowledge and passion for music with students.
