Baluba

Baluba is Samspill's focus on children and youth, where musicians are invited to work with skilled producers and resource persons with their concert production, from idea to finished production.

WHAT IS BALUBA?

Samspill invites musicians to work with producers and resource persons in the music field to develop their concert production for children and young people. We follow the artists from the idea stage through the entire process until a finished product. Participants will receive feedback and artistic guidance, and good advice on the way to developing a finished production. We mediate and contribute to booking at established stages and concert venues for children and youth.

Established organisers and producers of children's culture are constantly looking for new performers for their stages, especially musicians with multicultural backgrounds. In this way, we can contribute to reflecting the multicultural Norway in several ways. This is a good opportunity for musicians who have a concert they want to work on, or who want to convey their music in new ways. It is not necessary to have a finished production to participate.

THE PROCESS

The project consists of different parts, such as idea development, guidance and demonstration. We work with aspects such as artistic content, direction and pedagogical approach to different age groups. In addition, participants get acquainted with relevant topics such as application writing, profiling and marketing of the finished production. All productions are filmed after the end of the process.
"One of my great experiences in 2020 was to be able to produce a brand new and amazing musical trio - Burn for the Moon. Samspill, in collaboration with Riksscenen, initiated the project with great enthusiasm. The result was an unpredictable energetic and live performance, which took the children seriously and which gave them a genuine experience. "

BOOKING

We experience that there is a great demand for new concerts and productions from musicians with stories and experiences from other parts of the world. Established organisers and producers of children's programs are constantly looking for voices from multicultural Norway.
