Producer Bellali Austria has put together an exciting program for this autumn's Sunday World concerts at Cafe Sør! After going through a large pile of applicants with lots of great music, she has chosen the following artists for the programme:

27. aug Laura Alvarez

Laura grew up in a family where music, poetry and literature were part of daily life. Her father was a poet and a "maestro de la guitarra" and introduced her to the world of music by teaching her classical guitar and solfège. She continued her studies with teachers such as Atilio Rapat and Abel Carlevaro, and later she studied musicology at the University of Oslo.

10. sept Puma Camillê & Eduardo Scaramuzza

The duo joins forces to honor diversity and showcase a robust musical collection that draws inspiration from Afro-Brazilian traditions, including Capoeira, Maculele, and Maracatú, and is infused with the energetic ballroom culture.

Puma Camillê, a Brazilian multi-artist with a background in Capoeira and Vogue, is teaming up with Eduardo Scaramuzza, a Brazilian artist with a background in classical music, jazz, and Afro-Brazilian music, for her Europe Tour. The two have previously collaborated in Brazil, with Scaramuzza starting off as Puma's capoeira student in 2017 before becoming her musical partner and producer. Puma is not only a recognized movement artist but also a skilled berimbau player with knowledge of hundreds of Capoeira cantigas and Afro-Brazilian songs.

24. sept Ana Lu y Valerio

A recently formed music duo will present little-known music from Colombia and South America. Ana Lucia Moreno is a music teacher, conductor and singer from Colombia, living in Sandefjord. Valerio Bottari is a musician from Italy, living in Oslo.

1. okt Tural Raphael & Espen Wensaas

Tural Raphael is a pianist and composer with a background in both classical and jazz music. Already at the young age of 10, he began improvising classical compositions by famous composers such as Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin and Brahms. He later earned a bachelor's degree in classical music before diving into jazz and free music, where he found his freedom and space within the genre.
Espen Wensaas, originally from Norway, is a powerful force in the thriving Nordic music scene. Espen Wensaas tours, records and performs regularly both nationally and internationally. He is one of Norway's leading performers in traditional music on guitar, mandolin and cister, and has also worked extensively with music from other parts of the world, combining musical styles from various cultures into an eclectic and unique sound that has become his own.

12. nov Monoswezi

Monoswezi is a collective of musicians originally from Mozambique, Norway, Sweden and Zimbabwe based in Norway. With a shared passion for African musical tradition in general, and music from Zimbabwe and Mozambique in particular, Monoswezi seeks a musical expression where respect for tradition is combined with various references and experiences from modern western music. Since its inception in 2011, Monoswezi has released 5 albums.

26. nov Michael Krumins

With his debut solo album "Infinity", released in March 2023, Norwegian multi-instrumentalist Michael Krumins' unique, exciting blend of cosmopolitan world music and atmospheric guitar playing is about to be realized like never before. A musical nomad, who has lived and played across parts of Europe and Africa, this wandering virtuoso – former member of Green Carnation and Nutopia – promises a vibrant, stylistically diverse record and concert!

10. des Tres Musicos

Tres Músicos is a Norwegian band that specializes in Latin American music. The debut album Camino was released in 2022 and shows the band's varied repertoire which is the fruit of many years of study and interpretations of various styles such as Son Jarocho (Mexico), Plena (Puerto Rico), Festejo (Peru), Son Cubano (Cuba) Candombe (Uruguay), and many many more.
The musicians Hades Hernandez (Cuba), Ole Andre Farstad (Norway) and Alejandro Huidobro Goya (Mexico) form the core of Tres Músicos, and have played over 700 concerts in Den Kulturelle Skolesekken since 2012
