2023 was the year Samspill contributed to initiating a new advanced education program at the Norwegian Academy of Music; Cultural Diversity in Music Education. Ten students; musicians from ten different countries started in August, and are planned to emerge strengthened from the program, with a greater understanding of their opportunities in the Norwegian cultural scene.

2023 was also the year when we conducted the pilot project "Søkerreisen", aiming to change structures and challenges in the application portals at Arts and Culture Norway (Kulturdirektoratet).

We are dedicated to uplifting, showcasing, supporting, and promoting the fantastic musicians among us. And we closely follow the burgeoning communities around us, especially the music scene from the Middle East and the Mediterranean these days. We have engaged more than 300 new and former members as artists, project managers, producers, workshop leaders, and lecturers.
